Sun protection before or after treatments is vital to their success. Prior to your treatment, make sure you clarify with our esthetician or medical assistant what products, if any, you should use or avoid.
Chemical peels are superficial skin peel treatments that help rejuvenate aging skin to give it a fresh healthy glow. We offer a variety of peels, including lactic, glycolic, and salicylic. These peels offer a range of potency; we use them to tailor our treatment to the needs of your unique skin.
Dermapeel is an exfoliation treatment a step above a microdermabrasion or chemical peel. Dead skin cells are gently scraped from your face and then a peel is performed, followed by a CO2 ball. Dermapeels leave the skin feeling soft and smooth. These are great for skin rejuvenation and sun damage but are not recommended for acne-damaged skin. This treatment may cause mild redness but cosmetics may be applied immediately after receiving treatment. The peeling that occurs later is mild and gradual.
BOTOX® (onabotulinum toxin A) or XEOMIN® (incobotulinum toxin A)
Both are prescription medication that is injected into the facial muscles for temporary improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe glabella (frown) lines in adult patients. Also used to treat symptoms of severe underarm sweating (hyperhidrosis), when topical treatments to do not work well. The prescription medication is injected into underarms to temporarily black the chemical signals from nerves that stimulate the sweat glands, which stops the patient from sweating. Improves: Glabella/frown lines, hyperhidrosis. Approximate time: 30 minutes, no downtime. Cost: varies, dependent upon how many units of medication are used. Click here for more information about Botox® or here for more about Xeomin®.
Calcium-based volumizing filler mixed with lidocaine (an anesthetic) to reduce injection discomfort. Once injected, it provides immediate volume and correction, and also continues to work by stimulating the body to produce its own natural collagen. Over time the gel is absorbed, leaving behind your own natural collagen. May be used on: nasolabial folds, cheeks, smile lines, marionette lines. Limitations: no downtime. Cost: varies, dependent upon how many units of filler are used. Click here for more information about Radiesse®.
Hyaluronic acid replenishes loss of volume in face. Uses lidocaine (an anesthetic) to reduce discomfort. May be used on: nasolabial folds, cheeks, smile lines, marionette lines. Limitations: no downtime. Cost: depends on the amount used, per syringe. Click here for more information about Juvederm®-XC.
Hyaluronic acid dermal filler, specifically designed to naturally fill in superficial fine lines. May be used on: nasolabial folds, cheeks, smile lines, marionette lines. Limitations: no downtime. Microdermabrasion is an exfoliation treatment that uses a gentle abrasion tool and vacuum to remove the dead outer layer of your skin. This treatment leaves your skin smooth and promotes the growth of healthy new skin cells. It is great for rejuvenation, sun damage, and minor acne scars. Microdermabrasion is most commonly performed on the face but it is also great for arms, chests, necks, and backs. There is little to no down time following this treatment and cosmetics may be applied immediatley after.
Using our Max G Icon IPL (Intense Pulse Light), we perform photorejuvenation, which uses optimized light to deliver energy targeted to red and brown areas. Photofacials improve the look of sun spots, age spots, rosacea, capillaries, and hemangiomas. There is little to no down time following this treatment and it may be performed on your face, neck, chest, arms, hands, and legs.
We also offer non-ablative laser resurfacing, which uses a fractional laser to send microbeams through the epidermis, the top-most layer of the skin, into the dermis, the layer beneath it. This laser stimulates the body's natural healing process to create new, healthy tissue to replace the outer damaged, aging layer. Prior to performing this treatment, we apply a numbing cream to reduce sensitivity. Resurfacing is ideal for treating sun damage and acne scars; it improves skin's overall tone and texture. There is minimal down time.
