Dr. Dipa Patel, MD
Dr. Dipa Patel is an accomplished Board-Certified Medical and Surgical Dermatologist with over 20 years of experience in the Grand Rapids area. She received her medical degree with high distinction from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit and completed an Internal Medicine Internship at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. Dr. Patel completed her dermatology residency at the prestigious Department of Dermatology at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. After working with a larger dermatology group for 12 years, she teamed up with Dr. Michelle Emery to open Dermatology at MidTowne PC in 2013. Dr. Patel's compassion and dedication to patients makes her a trusted partner in your care.
Paige Pitynski, PA-C, MS
Paige Pitynski joined our practice in May 2024. She completed her B.A. in Psychology at Michigan State University and went on to earn her Physician Assistant degree at Trine University. Prior to entering PA school, Paige laid the groundwork for her passion for Dermatology while working at a practice, where she acquired a profound understanding of various skin conditions, including skin cancer. With her extensive academic background and commitment to providing exemplary care, Paige is dedicated to building trust and ensuring every patient can achieve their skincare goals.
Lisa Brown, RMA Cosmetic Laser Specialist
Lisa has been with Dermatology At MidTowne since it opened in 2013, bringing more than 25 years of dermatology experience. She became a registered medical assistant in 1995 and worked in family practice before joining Dr. Patel in 2000. Lisa began training in hair laser treatments in 2001 and has since gained over 20 years of expertise performing a wide range of cosmetic laser procedures. Fascinated by skincare and cosmetics, she found dermatology to be the perfect fit for her career. Above all, Lisa is passionate about patient care and has loved building lasting connections with patients and their families over the years.
Hannah Koorndyk, Esthetician
Hannah joined Dermatology At MidTowne in January 2024. She completed the esthetics program at Douglas J Aveda Institute in Grand Rapids, graduating in August 2022, and became licensed that October. Her passion for skincare began with her own experience overcoming acne, which inspired her to help others feel confident in their skin. Hannah specializes in creating customized skincare routines, knowing there is no one-size-fits-all approach. She has particular expertise in chemical peels, using her knowledge of active ingredients to choose the best treatment for each patient. Dedicated and patient-focused, Hannah strives to make skincare simple, approachable, and effective.
Dr. Michelle Emery, MD (Retired)
Dr. Emery is a founding member of Dermatology at MidTowne. Dr. Emery retired in August 2021 after practicing for over 30 years in Grand Rapids. After graduating Cornell University and medical school at University of Texas in Houston, she completed her dermatology residency at the prestigious Department of Dermatology at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. We greatly appreciate her many contributions to the practice's success and wish her all the best in retirement.
